# SCRAPD > A curated marketplace for upcycled, handmade, mended, and reworked goods — clothing, decor, leatherwork, crochet, footwear, and one-of-one objects. For makers, menders, and rule-breakers. Wear what wasn't wasted. SCRAPD is an independent online marketplace operated by Radically Repurposed Rags LLC, founded by Sherry Hewitt in Nashville, Tennessee. The marketplace covers anything craft-driven, hand-altered, mended, or born from discarded materials — re-worked vintage clothing, upcycled denim and festival wear, crochet and knit, leatherwork, footwear, accessories, and handmade home decor (vases, wall art, rugs, mirrors, throw pillows, planters, soft goods made from textile waste). Every piece is one-of-one or small-batch handmade. Mass-produced fast fashion, dropshipped goods, and unaltered factory resale items are explicitly not allowed. Sellers are called "creators" and every application is reviewed by hand within 72 hours before they can list. ## About - [SCRAPD homepage](https://app.scrapd.app/): The marketplace browse view, category tiles, and featured creators. - [Giving Back](https://app.scrapd.app/giving-back): Editorial section spotlighting causes and creators who donate to environmental and community organizations. SCRAPD itself does not process donations — links go directly to the causes' own donation pages. - [Terms of Service](https://app.scrapd.app/terms): Marketplace rules, seller agreement, dispute process, and acceptable-use policy. - [Privacy Policy](https://app.scrapd.app/privacy): Data handling, third-party processors (Supabase, Stripe), and user rights. ## How it works (Buyer) 1. Browse the curated feed at [https://app.scrapd.app/](https://app.scrapd.app/) or filter by craft category. 2. Every piece is one-of-one or small-batch — once it sells, it's gone for good. No restock. 3. Add to cart and check out via Stripe. Buyers pay item price + shipping + Stripe Tax — no buyer protection fee, no service fee. SCRAPD collects payment, then pays the creator direct after the buyer confirms delivery. 4. All sales are final unless the item is significantly not as described. Disputes go through the platform within 48 hours; final calls within 24 hours of escalation. ## How it works (Creator) 1. Apply at [https://app.scrapd.app/apply](https://app.scrapd.app/apply) or [https://app.scrapd.app/sell](https://app.scrapd.app/sell). 2. Submit shop name, portfolio link, a story about what you make, and an avatar/hero photo. Agree to the Seller Agreement. 3. Sherry Hewitt reads every application by hand. Reply within 72 hours, no exceptions. 4. If approved, connect a Stripe Connect Express account so payouts go directly to your bank. 5. List pieces. Ship within 5 days of order with valid tracking. 6. Founding-50 creators (the first 50 approved) lock in **5% commission for life**. Creators 51-200 lock 7% for life. Standard tier is 10%. The founding-50 counter is live on the homepage — once 50 spots fill, it closes forever. Commission auto-deducts via Stripe Connect at sale. No listing fees, no monthly fees, no ad-tax. Buyers pay $0 platform fees, ever. ## Categories SCRAPD currently lists items in nine curated categories. Not a dropship marketplace. Not an algorithmic feed where creators grind daily refreshes for visibility. Not a subscription tool. Mass-produced, AI-generated, and unaltered factory resale listings are rejected at the 72-hour application gate. ## Contact - Email: hello@scrapd.app - Operating company: Radically Repurposed Rags LLC, Nashville, Tennessee, USA. - Press, partnerships, and Giving Back inquiries: hello@scrapd.app ## Legal - [Terms of Service](https://app.scrapd.app/terms) - [Privacy Policy](https://app.scrapd.app/privacy) - All trademarks and creator IP belong to the respective creators.
