Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 22, 2026
Scope
At SCRAPD, we respect your privacy, and we are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this “Privacy Policy.” The Privacy Policy describes how we collect, process, retain, and disclose personal data about you when providing services to you as well as our practices for using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information. By interacting with our website, applications, and services (collectively the “Services”), or providing us with your information, you agree to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in this Privacy Policy as well as our Terms of Service.
Children’s and Minors’ Data
Our Services are not intended for, and we do not knowingly collect any personal data from children under the age of 18. If we learn we have collected or received personal data from a child under 18 years old without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.
Information We Collect
We collect the personal data that you give us when you use our Services. When we say “personal data,” we mean information that identifies, relates to, or describes you (directly or indirectly) as an individual. This includes identifying information such as your name, email, shipping address, and shop details when you sign up or open a Creator profile. We also keep records of what you buy, what you sell, and the messages you send through the platform. The minimum needed to run a marketplace, nothing extra. If you want to share additional information, you can contact us.
We do not collect or store any information related to donations made via our Giving Back page - those transactions occur directly with the third-party organizations and are outside the SCRAPD platform. Any information we would have about your interactions in those circumstances would just be web analytics - records showing that you clicked to visit a webpage.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate and improve our marketplace.
This includes providing you with the Services, processing transactions, providing customer support, and fulfilling any other purpose for which you provide information.
Your Creator profile information, including sustainability practices and reviews, is publicly visible to help buyers make informed choices.
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share necessary data with trusted third-party service providers (such as Supabase for database hosting and payment processors) to facilitate platform operations. Buyers and creators will share limited information with each other (like shipping addresses) as necessary to complete a transaction. We may also disclose personal information to comply with any court order, law, or legal process or to enforce or apply our Terms of Service.
Security
We take reasonable measures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. However, no internet-based platform is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your personal data. In particular, any emails, texts, and chats sent to or from the Services may not be secure. Additionally, we do not control the security of data that you share with a Creator or buyer outside of the Scrapd platform, so all such communications are at your own risk.
Your Choices
You can update your account anytime. You can also set your browser to refuse browser cookies or other tracking technology or to alert you when these files are being sent. Want out completely? Delete your account and associated data straight from your Profile → Edit Profile tab - we don’t make you email support to leave.
